Background

Medicines having the same composition are being sold at different prices by different manufacturers. Sometimes due to corruption, lack of knowledge of possible substitutes, unavailability or other factors, patients are prescribed expensive alternatives to the same generic salts. The most affected are the middle and lower middle class people.

Objectives

The engineering aim of the project is two fold i.e.

1. The Medisurf android app that provides:
   • Easy access to consolidated information - Medical Bill Optimizer.
2. The data collected is used in the analytics portal for:
   • Statistical analysis to better understand the context and take informed decisions.
