Grievance Addressal Portal (GAP)

Web Application for registering, monitoring and tracking complaints, designed specifically for NITW internal use-cases.

Background

Registering a issue in hostels in National Institute of Technology, Warangal(NITW) required us to go to warden office and write down the issue in a ledger. The problem with the approach was that office would open only for specific hours and students have classes around that time. And, Even once the complaint was registered, the support staff would often find that the student is not available in the room when they visit for service. To solve such issues and many others like data aggregation and expense report generation by administration and keeping track of status of all the complaints at one place, we came up with GAP portal.

Objective

The portal provides one-stop solution for registering and tracking all your issues including electricity, water, cleaning, plumbing, LAN and mess etc. It provides a feature-rich interface to specify your preferred time of service, rating and feedback mechanisms, billing and statistics generation. It facilitates viewing, auditing scheduling and managing at the end of administration and support staff much easier. Solution also included a digital notice-board and suggestion-box.
